Training & Development

Training

HelpNet has a very active and experienced Training Department that can provide onsite learning opportunites for employee groups, managers, team leaders, and union leadership. We offer a broad spectrum of professional development seminars that are tailored to fit the unique needs of each organization. The key to their success is in their flexibility...in topics, times, and locations. Whether your organization needs a one-hour, onsite presentation or a series of training sessions offsite, HelpNet can develop and implement a training curriculum that meets your organizational needs.

HelpNet's Training Department is led by Ken Morgan, MA, a HelpNet employee, as well as owner of ChangeWorks, a highly successful training and consulting firm. Ken is a highly experienced organizational consultant, trainer, and coach. He possesses a long history of working successfully with management, supervisors, and union leaders. Ken has particular expertise in issues related to leadership, management development, conflict management, team building, and organizational change.

HelpNet offers a courtesy needs assessment prior to conducting the actual training. This ensures that the develpment initiative will specifically address the needs of the participants and the contracting organization. The needs assessment will serve to gather information and provide answers to questions such as:

  1. What are the critical development needs ro challenges currently facing this work team, department, or organization?
  2. What do your leaders and employees see as the primary goals and desired outcomes to be achieved by doing development work with this work team, department, or organization? How can these outcomes be measured to determing success?
  3. What previous training or development resources have been provided, if any, to address these challenges? What were the results of these past efforts?
  4. Are there any perceived barriers to address initially to improve buy-in and commitment? How can a positive tone be set for this initiative?
  5. When do you hope to begin this initiative? What is the best method for communicating this initiative to the participants?
