Training & Development

Training

HelpNet has a very active and experienced Training Department that can provide on-site learning opportunities for employee groups, managers, team leaders, and union leadership. We offer a broad spectrum of professional development seminars that are tailored to fit the unique needs of each organization. The key to their success is in their flexibility...in topics, times, and locations. Whether your organization needs a one-hour, on-site presentation or a series of training sessions off-site, HelpNet can develop and implement a training curriculum that meets your organizational needs.

HelpNet's Training Department is led by Phillip Hedgspeth, Corporate Trainer & Leadership Coach.  As a management consultant,  trainer, coach and author, Phil has over 20 years experience in providing organizations with proven principles for personal and team success. He possesses a long history of working successfully with management, supervisors, and union leaders, and has particular expertise in issues related to leadership, management development, conflict management, team building, and organizational change.  In every industry, from entry level to executive level, Phil has helped build lean, self-managed teams who are motivated and inspired to live in excellence.

"Phil Hedgspeth is an extremely passionate speaker that brings a fresh, inspirational quality to the subject he presents.  His presentations were very engaging and challenging, capturing the attention of everyone!  He was absolutely the best training consultant and speaker that we could have possibly selected to help us develop an effective innovative leadership training program."

- Ken Lee, Bissell Homecare

HelpNet offers a courtesy needs assessment prior to conducting the actual training. This ensures that the development initiative will specifically address the needs of the participants and the contracting organization. The needs assessment will serve to gather information and provide answers to questions such as:

  1. What are the critical development needs or challenges currently facing this work team, department, or organization?
  2. What do your leaders and employees see as the primary goals and desired outcomes to be achieved by doing development work with this work team, department, or organization? How can these outcomes be measured to determine success?
  3. What previous training or development resources have been provided, if any, to address these challenges? What were the results of these past efforts?
  4. Are there any perceived barriers to address initially to improve buy-in and commitment? How can a positive tone be set for this initiative?
  5. When do you hope to begin this initiative? What is the best method for communicating this initiative to the participants?
