We live in a non-stop culture and stress is inevitable. A vast number of Americans suffer from “Hurry Sickness” in which they find themselves rushing through each and every day in a frenzied frenetic pace. Unfortunately, there is a toll to pay. To help us with this reality, HelpNet has invited area behavioral health expert, Casey J. Coker, to present...“Using Mindfulness to Manage Stress”.
Casey’s presentation will describe the various ways in which stress influences our lives and she will provide some key strategies for coping and thriving that can be implemented in our everyday lives. Casey J. Coker is employed as both a Clinical Behavioral Health Trainer for HelpNet EAP as well as a trainer with Bronson’s Diversity and Inclusion Department. Casey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Ferris State University and a Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She also completed a Master of Science Degree from Purdue University in Human Development and Family Studies. Casey has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at local, state and national professional conferences.
